GETTING THERE
FLY into Gustavo Diaz Ordaz International Airport (PVR) in Puerto Vallarta.
CAB it to Pier de los Muertos. The 15 minute cab ride should cost between $15-$25. You may also choose to travel to the farther pier at Boca de Tomatlan instead and catch the boat there instead for a shorter boat ride.
BOAT trip to Yelapa takes about 35 minutes. Locate the Yelapa travel office at the Pier de los Muertos. Check the water taxi schedule to ensure your flight arrival will match up with the water taxi. You may want to confirm the time with us as the schedule changes frequently. Ask to be dropped off at the playa rather than at the pier in Yelapa.
ARRIVE at the beach rather than the pier in Yelapa for the shortest route to Casa Tortuga. If you send us your arrival plans, we can meet you at the beach to guide you to the casa. There are also many friendly and helpful people along the beach willing to help with your luggage and guide you to the casa for a much appreciated tip. Otherwise, you will find Marlins Restaurant on the beach and can walk straight back behind it and slightly left past the horses to get to the main pathway. About 30 feet down the path on the right side, you will see a 2 story red brick building with a red gate. This is the entrance to Casa Tortuga. Now unpack and make yourself at home!
PRIVATE transfers from the airport can be arranged. They average around $100 – $150 depending on the amount of people traveling. We can also recommend a concierge service who is happy to pre-stock your fridge or arrange excursions for your trip.
